Seeking entry to junior level Technical Training Specialists with technical process experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, Navy Nuclear or other similar technical process facilities.

The Technical Training Specialist will develop learning solutions to improve end-user performance and positively impact key business goals for our clients, such as quality, productivity, and safety.


* Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Participate in data gathering and review meetings
* Develop simplified process flow diagrams, process and control descriptions, operator training manuals, qualification assessments and troubleshooting exercises
* Develop operations, maintenance, and program procedures
* Develop narratives, descriptive graphics, audio scripts, and storyboards for blended learning solutions
* Develop and implement online and instructor led training programs
* Perform internal technical reviews
* Delivery Instructor Led Training (ILT) courses
* Provide end user/plant floor coaching and problem solving
* Collaborate with team members on training strategies most suitable for the subject matter, company/client goals, and intended audience
* Track and evaluate training products and make improvements/revisions to training packages
* Coordinate the implementation of training plans
* Work with subject matter experts, clients, graphic designers, and learning management system managers to identify and remedy training program issues
* Other duties as assigned


* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent years of technical work experience
* Background in adult vocational instructional design, adult education, learning technology, or related field
* 1-5 years of experience in petroleum refining, midstream, upstream, petrochemical, chemical, Navy Nuclear, or other process industry
* Technologically proficient with Microsoft Office software (specifically Microsoft Word - Microsoft Visio a plus), web applications, learning management systems, and various web-based training products and platforms
* Strong oral and written communications skills, to include grammar and spelling
* Strong personal computer and word processing skills (Windows based)
* Experience writing instructional or technical documents and presentations
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and meet deadlines
* Attentive to detail, qualify-focused, flexible, and deadline-oriented
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
* Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams and other engineering drawings
* Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed up to 50%
* Ability work onsite at secure locations, including locations that require Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC card)
