Training Lead: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract (potential for extension/perm role: Birmingham or Bristol based with hybrid working available: Paying £450-£500 per day (Inside IR35)

Morson are currently working with our global telecoms organisation to support them in their search for an experienced Training Lead to join their team on a 6 Month contract basis. The Training Lead will join part way through the HR Transformation programme and will be required to lead the training team and support the Colleague Experience, Change team and the HR Transformation programme to navigate the delivery and adoption of the new SAP SuccessFactors system.

Reporting into the Senior Manager for Colleague Experience, the Training Lead will be required to work  closely with the Colleague Experience & Change workstream lead on strategy and planning. They will also partner with the Change Manager, Colleague Experience Manager and Communications Manager to ensure that the full range of activities is captured in a joined-up plan.

As the Training Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for applying suitable and structured change methodology, leading the delivery of the training strategy, training needs analysis (TNA) and related activities to embed change related to the new HR technologies and processes, as well as the following:

  • Training Strategy and training plan - conducting Training Strategy to define the approach for training, defining and implement training plans to address identified change hotspots and tracking activities and provide updates to the central change team
  • Training - providing input and supporting the design and delivery of training programmes, conducting train-the-trainer (where required) and managing the deployment of training, then measuring the effectiveness of the training by collecting feedback and adjusting plans if required
  • Coaching a team of training professionals to deliver the Training strategy and plan
  • Managing workstream budget, planning, reporting and resourcing
  • Understanding the impact of the change on people, encouraging new and desired behaviours and embedding the change

To be considered for this role, a strong background in L&D/Training is essential with experience in the delivery of all the training cycles. Ideally this experience will be in training through systems or programme implementations and gained from within a large, matrixed organisation. A comprehensive understanding of HR processes/systems is vital, particularly in relation to SAP SuccessFactors, as well as the below skills/attributes:

  • Experienced in developing training content, in particularly centred around process, operating model or system changes
  • Experienced in delivering training (face to face and virtual) to a wide audience
  • Experienced in using eLearning tools and strong MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) skills
  • Strong time management skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload in a high-pressured environment
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level and understand the perspectives of stakeholders
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • HR Transformation/Change Management experience is highly desirable
