Our Vital Training division delivers professional training programmes for people working in the UK's rail industry. Its UK training academies and college partnerships deliver training and assessments for apprentices, rail operatives and managers for a range of clients.
As a result of continued growth and success, we are looking for a Training Coordinator to join our hugely successful and proactive team, servicing one of our biggest and most prestigious clients. The role is to be based at our purpose built training academy which is close to Manchester City Centre and transport links. This role is initially a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, but due to continued business expansion there is a strong possibility of a permanent role thereafter.
Supporting a busy team, this role is primarily responsible for acting as the central point of contact for external clients regarding the provision of rail safety critical training, providing a truly quality service. On a daily basis, key tasks include:
- Making bookings for training courses and ensuring correct administration of client notification, rotas, and paperwork thereafter
- Organise training programmes and co-ordinate trainers' schedules to provide an efficient service
- Assist with the attraction and integration of new external clients through extremely high levels of customer service and dedication
- Maintain and distribute training records
- Provide feedback to programme participants and management
- Receive incoming calls and queries, providing excellent customer service to resolve queries where possible, and allocating the call to the appropriate department if necessary
- General assistance with the admin function in the absence of the Assistant Training Coordinator
We're looking for someone who has worked in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, and is a confident communicator (particularly over the telephone). The ability to work as an integral member of a team, and the desire to take initiative and go the extra mile to deliver for our clients is essential. Good logical and problem-solving skills are required - experience of managing diaries and arranging meetings/training is desirable. Prior knowledge of the rail industry or experience within a training business would also be advantageous, but is by no means essential.
