Role Title: Network Asset Traffic Management Engineer
Reporting To: Supervisor
Location: Brentwood
Contracted Hours: 48 Hours Per Week

Overview of Role

  • Working in the public highway, perform minor maintenance to telecom assets (chamber lids, street cabinets etc).
  • To work within the network asset management team to assist or repair cabinets, chambers and set up, implement and orchestrate traffic management with civils teams when required for various civils works.
  • To work with the area supervisor and co-ordinators and provide safety support to the division

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility to take control of the site set up, suggest and implement the traffic management
  • Attend Surveys and site meetings
  • To be able to work within a team and link with the supervisor and the co-ordinator
  • If no traffic management is required to be able to work with other civils teams, or alone assisting in footway and carriageway works
  • Attend 2-hour safety call outs and set up Signing/lighting and Guarding/be prepared to carry out section 81's and support the team on site
  • Responsibilities:
  • Set up of safe working Zones
  • Supervising and mentoring traffic management
  • Traffic Control
  • Manual Handling Equipment
  • Putting out and collecting signage at the start and end of jobs
  • Reading plans and permits
  • To abide by the health and safety policies and ensure you and your team are working safely in line with regulations
  • To complete all required paperwork on PDAs including the upload of photos from the jobs
  • ensure you have enough equipment for the jobs and return 100% of the equipment that has been used
  • Reporting of near miss
  • To abide by the health and safety policies and ensure you and your team are working safely in line with regulations

Professional Qualifications/Training

  • NRSWA Unit 2
  • M1 & M2 - Lantra Accreditation
  • M3 - Lantra Accreditation (Not Mandatory)
  • M5 - Lantra Accreditation
  • Experience in setting out road closures, lane closures, 2 way & Multiphase traffic signals
  • Full UK driving License
