Our client is looking for a Town Planner for a 6 Month contract, based either at their offices in Birmingham or Hatton (near Warwick).
The purpose of the role will be to act as the Planning Consultant for our client fulfilling our clients duty as a statutory consultee for planning applications under TCPA consent regimes for a defined geographical area in order to protest our waterways and corridors from inappropriate development and to secure improvements through financial and / or in kind contributions to works and maintenance.
The role will involve assessing planning applications specifically within Environmental Impact Assessments both on a Minor and Major Scale, ensuring a statutory response is made within 21 Days.
The successful candidate will have
- A relevant Masters, Diploma, or Degree Qualification and Chartered Town Planner.
- Knowledge and experience of the TCPA & DCO Regimes including appeals and enforcement system in England and Wales.
- Sound knowledge of planning, heritage and environmental law and regulations.
- Understanding of government reforms & policy objectives, planning policy, procedures and regulations in England and Wales.
The successful candidate will have a full driving license and could be based in either in Central Birmingham or Hatton, near Warwick.
