Responsible for providing Jig & Tool Designs which are fit for purpose, encompassing design definitions, interchangeability, product safety and health & safety features within cost constraints. Engineers will be required to understand the tool design processes for the manufacture or procurement of tools/equipment required to support the manufacturing process including their applicability and repeatability.
The role involves the embodiment of tool design change associated with current and future customer requirements alongside the support and review of recurring activities such as Manufacturing Query Note embodiment, Cycle Checking and Lost Damaged Destroyed submissions.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of Assembly tool working practices and application.
Candidates will be expected to be self-motivated with good interpersonal/communication skills. IT skills are essential, together with experience in the application Toolsets i.e. Catia, CDP, PM SAPCAM and Infor LN.
