Morson East Anglia are delighted to be working with our Client who is Europe's leading provider of specialist Crew Transfer Vessels for Offshore Wind Power, Oil and Gas and other offshore projects.
Founded in 2002, they currently have a fleet of 45 vessels operating and several vessels still under construction, which are designed and built by the Client and, as such, include over 17 years of experience in the field.
They currently have an opening for an experienced Technical Superintendant with Marine and Shipping Management experience who can contribute to the development, improvement and progression of our business.
Your role will consist of, but will not be restricted to the following:
Manage technical maintenance and repairs of part of the fleet
Coordinate repairs to ensure minimised downtime
Root cause analysis for technical failures
Ensure proactive maintenance is carried out on board the vessels with Engineers and Site Managers
Manage relationships with key suppliers
Ensures day to day support and advisory with respect to technical requirements of part of the marine fleet
Ensure adequate instruction and coaching of crew members with regards to on board maintenance, administration and vessel/shore reporting
Plan and arrange dry docking and refits together with class and flag inspections
Manage spare parts stocks and ordering equipment and services for vessels
Compile and monitor the budget for projects
Co-ordinate technical activities in close corporation with relevant departments
Together with the Technical Manager supervise and instruct Technical Engineers and mechanics
Verify applicable technical rules and regulations and monitor changes
The ideal candidate will have preferred experience in the Maritime, Marine, Oil & Gas and Renewables sectors
You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
As a Technical Superintendant you will be a team player who can prioritise your work schedule and self manage colleagues to facilitate your role to the maximum.
Knowledge of International Shipping Legislation and Regulations is essential
Be commercially astute and able to report and administer economic and financial matters
It is essential that candidates have technical experience within the Shipping and Marine sectors.
