There are exciting times ahead for us as we embark on major investment across all our manufacturing sites in Cheshire to grow the business and deliver reliable high quality products into increasingly diverse markets.
Job purpose statement:
To provide technical support (product, application and packaging support) for all products and market regions, in order that TCE's service complements and supports the sale of all products to the market.
Develop and foster technical relationships with key customers and industry technical experts ensuring that these interfaces are aligned with present and future business needs ( e.g. industry sector legislation )
Respond to customer requests for questionnaires, and other types of information relating to product registrations, quality and safety compliance.
Understand the current legislation relating to the sale and marketing of our products into key sectors (Pharma, Food. Animal Feed) and in liaison with the Quality Manager implement actions required to maintain compliance and best practice.
Provide product training to all personnel in customer facing roles to ensure they have the required product knowledge.
Maintain and develop the database of customer specific specifications, statements & documents and web based information, ensuring these are aligned with the company and quality systems.
Liaison with the appropriate internal manufacturing and laboratory resources to provide direction for development and trial work on the refinement of our product offering in line with market and customer requirements
Support TCE attendance at exhibitions, seminars and other promotional activities
Support customer complaint investigations and coordinate the customer complaint process, ensuring metrics are measured and communicated within the business.
Degree or equivalent chemistry/physical sciences / process technology.
Ability to apply chemical knowledge in practical and theoretical situations to support customers.
Good communication skills - written and presentational
Ability to deal effectively with personnel over a range of managerial levels at customers, suppliers and regulators
Effective at simultaneously working on a diverse range of activities and managing work load priorities
Working across businesses and functional groups within the company ( Sales, quality, operations and supply chain )
The job will potentially require some travel to visit customers worldwide.
