Morson East Anglia are currently recruiting for a Technical Coordination Assistant for a Company with offices in Lowestoft and Overseas.
Working with the Technical Manager and Technical Coordinator/Superintendent to ensure the technical maintenance and repairs of the Vessels.
Besides coordination of works carried out on the vessels, you will be a key person in sourcing equipment, consumables and spare parts.
Your role will consist of, but will not be restricted to the following:
Provide high level of customer support to offshore vessels and onshore team members on all Supply Chain matters
Lead buyer in engineering management of vessel parts
Negotiation of contracts with (key) suppliers
Goods return to onshore Catalogued and Non-catalogued items.
Goods transport to operational sites.
Manifesting materials onshore.
Ensure plant is inspected and repaired as required.
Maintain, track and return of all rental equipment.
Manage engineering stores/plant/equipment.
Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained for all materials, quality records and quarantine processes.
Ensure work is carried out in compliance with company internal control standards and procedures and all other control documents.
Ensure all documentation complies with and is available for internal and external compliance audits.
Perform regular physical inventory stock taking of marine engines and technical parts.
Maintain accurate records in the materials system in regard to goods receipt and goods issue.
Purchase new build vessel components.
Raise purchase orders in Oracle system.
Communicate with accounts departments in order to complete and authorise payment runs.
Liaise with the Site Manager and onshore teams to ensure material requirements are adequately pre-planned.
Communicate with the Technical Manager regarding vessel downtime/ refit procedures and parts to be supplied /purchased.
Co-ordinate with engineers and technical department in regard to vessel refit and open job cards.
Ensure safe storage and segregation of hazardous goods in accordance with statutory regulations and ensure all hazardous goods are transported to and from the facilities in accordance with IATA regulations, IMDG Code and Clients procedures.
Perform all Waste Management functions.
As a candidate you will have a background within Logistics and Warehouse including Transportation and Shipping.
Have experience of COSHH practices and promote excellent record keeping.
Be able to work as part of a team.
Be proactive, band have the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Have excellent communication skills either face to face, via the telephone, email and so on.
The candidate will have excellent administrative skills and be able top prioritise their workload.
You will hold a current Forklift Licence or be willing to obtain.
