Technical Administrator; Based in Glasgow; 12 month contract, £10.00 per hr paye
An opportunity has arisen for a technical administrator within our client's business in Glasgow.The post holder will take on the routine responsibilities detailed below on the Vehicles business and will report to the engineering manager (or deputy). When appropriate they may also be expected to also support another project. This is an opportunity for someone to gain experience in a project control role within an engineering environment.
Attendance at weekly progress meetings to update minutes and expedite actions.
Monitoring the actions and meeting tracking tool to expedite action closure and keep up to date for audits.
Working with the core engineering team to update the change log on associated work packages as required.
Monitoring weekly costs on the projects work packages and collating a monthly reconciliation of costs with the financial reporting system.
Collating costs and updating tracking spread sheets for systems engineering managers.
Working with core engineering team to collate information and assist systems engineering managers to create project metrics for reporting to senior management
Assisting engineering managers and project managers to update the resource management tool and align with current project needs.
Facilitate the creation and maintenance of work packages in the work package description data base.
Assisting engineering teams to update task lists with current progress and working with project planners and project planners to update the master schedule.
General ad-hoc admin support for project team.

Desirable but not essential
Further education qualification in a relevant subject
Familiar with working in a budget and schedule constrained environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Applications (MS Word and MS Excel)
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team
