TEAM LEADERS (Nights) - Manufacturing

The positions for Night shift, 7pm to 7am, 4 on 4 off repeating working on one of our four Sets:

Main tasks:

In this an exciting role, you will play a major part in DMAN's ability to meet its' targets by overseeing a team of approximately 10 - 15 people on the assigned Set.

You will work closely with the Manufacturing Group Leaders and the other TeamLeaders on your Set to continue to develop the area to meet increasing product demands by increasing productivity and flexibility and engaging 5S and Kaizen practices to meet the demands of a world class automotive supplier.

The Team Leader is key to the success of the DMAN fabrication unit. This is a man management role where you will have overall responsibility for leading a team of production assistants within your specific Technology Area. In this role you will acquire key knowledge in the following areas enabling you to have clear insight of the workflow across the Fab through understanding:

The process flow through each area and the critical stages
Key equipment, expected output and possible bottlenecks
What is required to keep equipment fully utilised
Area outputs and activity targets
Full understanding of the Fabrication unit organisational structure and individual roles and responsibilities across Production, Equipment and Process Groups.
Optimum skill mix and capability of your Area
How to measure and plan workflow through your area and the Fabrication unit using production tools and reports
Business needs and target outputs for end customer.
Touch Time analysis to ensure your area is operating to maximum efficiency
Training plans to increase skill levels and flexibility across the team
Documentation control

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
This role is a man management position and as such you must have the aptitude to lead, motivate and develop your team, whilst ensuring the right behaviours are displayed at all times.
The ability to lead by example with the highest possible level of attendance and timekeeping
