Talent Scrum Master; Crawley; £450/day (UMB); 8 month contract

Our client is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to work as part of the UK Talent team in providing an internal service as 'Team SPRINT/Scrum Master / Facilitator' to enable change (HR) project teams to deliver efficiently and effectively using an agile-based approach.

We are looking for you to support the establishment of the HR portfolio.

Establish, nurture and develop the HR agile community of across the HR Function to deploy these processes and building confidence and capability across the function.

To ensure the Talent Acquisition (TA) Team delivers an effective and continually improving operation to meet the needs of the business in identifying, pipelining and hiring against its Human Capital Requirements.


To coordinate and synchronise the TA operations team, using agile scrum practices to ensure effective work distribution and flow management and ultimately delight organisational stakeholders and applicants' 'experience of the hire process'.


Your responsibilities will include;
Use a facilitative (servant) leadership approach:
Ensure everyone is clear on what result is wanted, and how the result is pursued
Ask relevant questions to keep things on track
Paraphrase and summarise to ensure a common understanding
"Nail down" key agreements and decisions
Ensure appropriate use of visuals
Acknowledge and address any confusion
Gets the group back on track when confusion sets in
Keep participant input relevant and on track
Keep input concrete with minimal need for interpretation
Help clarify responsibilities / accountabilities and builds success in the team by applying principles of success-based performance management

Helps the team understand organisational and technical dependencies while avoiding chokepoints
Uses everyone as a resource
Uses participants' time effectively

Makes good use of available information
Helps the team navigate complexity clarifies the process or steps to follow
Monitors and improves the processes
Maintains respectful communication within the group
Develops sufficient information about topics and avoids exhaustive discussion
Harnesses the value of diversity to provide creative alternatives fully before making decisions, both in content and in process

Encourages and explores differences in opinion, and ensures adequate closure to discussion. Knowledgeable of creative problem solving, agile, lean and scrum processes and tools. Manages and drives the agile process. Organisationally astute - protects the team from interference - handles and manages expectations of others
Identifies and removes impediments to progress
Curious, critical, strategic in outlook, creative and influential
Fosters 'user-centricity'
Able to establish and manage scope of work, 'Definition of Done', timeline, quality, goals and deliverables that support business objectives
Good presentation skills
