Job Role:

As a Systems Integration Engineer you will be involved in the embodiment and demonstration of the integrated behaviour, test and integration at the System and Sub-System levels of both hardware and embedded software. You will form part of the team responsible for the planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, upkeep and use of CR2 LEP(Challenger 2 Life Extension Project) Systems Integration Laboratories and Dynamic Test Rig for the CR2 LEP programme.

This is a demanding role, requiring close liaison between a number of Engineering and Procurement teams. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, personal accountability and motivation in order to ensure that the project is successful.

Significant drive and energy, strong planning skills, and the ability to deliver a diverse programme to demanding time, target cost and quality requirements are essential attributes to succeed.

The candidate must be a team player who is prepared to work with a multi-site engineering team. The individual will be required to work across geographical and cultural divides to draw together a comprehensive engineering capability that will derive balanced system solutions.

We are essentially looking for good all-round Systems Engineers with a bias towards system test and lab work.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support to the planning, procurement, installation, commissioning, upkeep and use of CR2 LEP Systems Integration Laboratories and Dynamic Test Rig for the CR2 LEP programme.
* Execution of the Sub-System/System Test and Integration in accordance with the agreed Interface Management Plan throughout the lifecycle of the design phase.
* Providing support to other engineering domains in the fulfilment of the system test and integration programme
* Co-ordination of the cross-domain engineering activities within the systems integration team.
* Interface Control Document generation and management.
* Working with multiple stakeholders invested in the completion of the SIL & DTR facilities, ensuring that all projects/work packages and project tasks are fully understood and completed.
* Assist in the management of the budget for the SIL & DTR activities.
* Contribute to the process of capturing, analysing, implementing and validating requirements.
* Engagement with the SME's in the generation of test schedules and test reports to ensure the performance requirements have been met.
* Able to contribute to the development of the project plans and identify the risks and dependencies associated with the SIL & DTR Projects.
* Ensure all project documentation is maintained to the required standards as per the business management system.

Key Attributes:

* Degree level of education, or an equivalent level of competence with appropriate training
* Strong Systems Engineering focus.
* Experience of industrial equipment installations and project management highly desirable
* Background including experience or Electrical/Electronics highly desirable
* Attained or working towards appropriate Engineering Professional Registration
* Competent with Microsoft applications, and Teamcenter configuration control processes or equivalent
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential
* Being open to learn new skill and an ability for creative problem solving
