Manage and oversee development technical plans and specifications, ensure NEC code and BICSI standard compliance, and routinely coordination with client and other disciplines in support of project completion.
Take ownership of relevant project delivery elements (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts and customer satisfaction).
Manage project design development from conception through completion (both large and small) in accordance with program objectives.
Manage budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures and controls for assigned projects.
Represent the communications and security systems design as a part of the electrical practice in project engineering coordination meetings, as required.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Registered as a Professional Engineer in Texas candidate must be licensed by exam.
BICSI certification as a Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD).
5 or more years of professional experience in designing OSP cabling systems, structured cabling, wireless communication systems, electronic security systems (video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection) physical IT networks, and mission-critical technologies.
Must possess a solid background in the development of technical plans and specifications and clear understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
Solid understanding of engineering design documentation development (plans, sections, details, equipment schedules, bill of materials, control diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and CSI formatted technical specifications).
The following would be desired skills/qualifications:
Possession of TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card.
One or more of the following certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, PSP, PMP.
Experience in Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology deployment.
Knowledge in Cyber Security Best Practices using NIST Framework.
Knowledge in DHS based Chemical Facilities Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS).
Knowledge of USCG MTSA Facility Assessment Best Practices.
Experience with network mapping tools (Net Brain, SolarWinds).
Experience in wireless communication signal propagation studies.
