Our client is seeking a Supportability Engineer to carry out ILS activities for Naval and/or Airborne products.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Work as a Supportability Engineer to take responsibility for own / team work packages. Undertake own supportability engineering activities - liaise with internal and external subcontractors, with respect to manufacturing technical data. Gathering ILS data, analysis of ILS data and identifying project ILS needs for deliverables, writing of ILS reports and building project ILS database.

  • Undertake Supportability Engineering, ILS data gathering and Analysis including:
    • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis
    • Supportability Analysis including Logistic Support Analysis
    • Production of the Supportability Case
    • Production of the Reliability and Maintainability Case
    • Design influence in favour of Supportability
    • Write and maintain the Reliability &Maintainability Plan
    • Management of suppliers regarding the Integrated Logistic Support subcontract
    • Production of Integrated Support Plans
    • Support Solutions Envelope, including Key Support Areas
    • Tailoring of requirements and standards
    • Undertake Supply Support tasks including codification and spares ranging and scaling
    • Ability to identify risks and issues and propose possible solutions
    • Ability to integrate into the design community and present Supportability at design reviews
    • Assist in improving company Supportability Engineering processes
    • To contribute towards the development of Support Solutions during the bids and proposals stage

Proven Ability / Key Skills:

Applicants should have significant ILS ability and knowledge including:

  • Good communication skills
  • Good self-management
  • Tech ILS data gathering and analysis
  • Writing ILS reports
  • Building ILS database
  • Managing of ILS projects to ensure progress
  • Supportability Repository knowledge, for example EAGLE and OMEGA PS
  • Level of Repair Analysis
  • Initial Provisioning and codification
  • Through Life Finance
  • DRACAS or FRACAS
  • Familiarity / knowledge of JSP886 or ASD3000L or MIL-STD-1388 standards

This role is working within an SC level security cleared environment, applicants should have worked within the Defence / Military industry within the last 12 months or be capable of obtaining Security Clearance to SC level
