A new opportunity is now available for a Supply Chain Specialist to join a large Aerospace and Defence company; BAE Systems


Job Description
The role includes carrying out on-going assurance and meeting compliance audits and surveillance visits in line with Customer contractual expectation, regulatory and US/UK Government requirements in respect of management of Tooling, GFE assets and Property. The role includes travel within the AIR Sector manufacturing and Supply Chain base (UK only). To continue governance and continuous improvement initiatives in line with the Logistics and Asset Management strategies.

Main Tasks
The auditing of customer property and to perform regular reviews
Review of process and policies
The promotion of best practice across sites / projects
Co-ordination of internal audit plans
Co-ordination of external (Supply Chain and Customer) audits.
Problem solving
Budget control (expenses/travel)
Training plans for AIR Sector Manufacturing and Functional employees.


Responsibilities

Supplier Development Experience / Knowledge
Experience of Supply Chain working (Procurement/Logistics) across wider industries
Understanding performance areas of the Supply Chain in line with customer expectations
Understanding of regulatory and customer property conditions, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Defence Standards.
Use of IT Solutions to manage audit reports, non-conformance and continual improvement
