Role Mission:

  • Manage contract execution, being in charge of Supplier delivery performance
  • Perform an effective control of supplier activities, securing a close understanding of supplier overall situation and scope.
  • Coordinate the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management and securing coordination with the corresponding Multi-Functional Team (MFT)
  • Implement sustainable improvement of the Supply Chain performance

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the items and services to build and maintain our advanced avionics technology products are purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered according to agreed terms and conditions. Drafting of new standard procurement contracts integrating all relevant requirements (e.g. economic, commercial, technological, legal, risk management)
  • Revision, optimization, further development of existing standard procurement contracts. preparation of negotiation contract drafting and execution of negotiations of contracts together with the procurement commodity buyers.
  • evolution of existing contractual documents: preparation, drafting and negotiation of e.g. complex contract amendments and settlement agreements during the life cycle of the contract together with Procurement Commodity Buyers.
  • Signing of the contract validation form which shall content the key elements of the contract (executive summary, main deviations, risks and opportunities of the contract)
  • Contractual analysis of agreements during the contract administration phase and/or in case of disagreements / potential forthcoming disputes between Company and suppliers concerning existing procurement contracts.
  • provision of specialized support and expertise in contract analysis, -drafting, - design and -negotiations for Company functions other than Procurement (except aircraft sales contracts).
  • Advising internal stakeholders on contractual implications of internal (improvement) projects (e.g. confidentiality or intellectual property aspects)
  • Development of new and further development of existing Procurement Academy trainings coaching and training-on-the-job of junior buyers in the areas of contracts and negotiations.
  • Act as focal point towards the supplier for operational activities
  • Active Monitoring & Control of Suppliers
  • Manage Supplier operational performance and drive necessary collaboration as far as necessary
  • Day-to-day manage the supplier from contract/PO kick-off to provide all recurrent deliverables: participate or lead as required to progress meetings/ design reviews/ production reviews, including quality gates, deviation/ waiver process, non-conformance process, change process, supplier surveillance & performance improvement actions plans in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage performance reviews with the Suppliers based on VRB outputs
  • Maintain a close communication and coordination with all internal stakeholders to ensure the timely Supplier deliveries.
  • Main interface for assessing and reporting the supplier risks, proposing mitigation actions, implementing with the relevant stakeholder's recovery, improvement and follow up plans in order to secure delivery of the products and services in conformity with contract.
  • Ensure compliance with Export regulations for all deliverables from Suppliers, on a day-to-day basis

Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Electro Mechanical experience / background
  • Experience in activities which have allowed you to acquire sound skills and knowledge of:
  1. Procurement
  2. Engineering
  3. Quality
  4. Manufacturing
  • Ability to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks
  • Strong communication skills including active listening and empathy
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence and convince
  • Procurement IT tool knowledge would be a benefit
  • Excellent skills in relationship building, team building, empowering, motivating others and conflict management
  • Negotiation level of English (this position has a high visibility in Procurement and in the functions it is interfacing with Projects, Manufacturing, Suppliers)

Educational requirements:

  • HND/Degree in a relevant engineering subject
  • An experienced sub-contract manager (or project manager) with an aerospace / engineering background
  • Good level of Microsoft Office applications
