Conduct supplier surveillance audits on critical primary and sub-tier suppliers globally to provide assurance that contracted work scopes will be delivered to the required quality standards on time.
Using the supplier assurance framework, assessment tools and checklists carry out competent and professional auditing of Suppliers.
Record accurately the outcome of the surveillance audits, identifying areas of risk, non-conformance or best practice to demonstrate benefit to supplier performance and Right First Time quality metrics.
Where appropriate provide support to the Supplier Surveillance Team regarding the maintenance of the team's metrics.
Provide support to suppliers in the completion and closure of their non-conformances.
Assist Surveillance Team members in ensuring all surveillance audit requirements are understood communicated and adhered to, including appropriate record keeping.
Build strong relationships and drive collaborative working with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure Supplier Surveillance Audits deliver the required benefit and confidence in supplier conformity.
Support the team's development through cross training and shadowing to achieve a flexible and multi skilled team.
Carry out surveillance audits ensuring checklists and templates are understood, defined and used consistently in line with the surveillance audit process.
Measure, collate and analyse surveillance audit data to inform the Supplier Assurance Management of trends and required improvements, supporting the required weekly and monthly project reports and status updates.
Assist with Quality Investigations that may be required internally and externally.
Conduct supplier surveillance audits professionally and ensure audit reports are completed and distributed in a timely manner.
Support and contribute to the Senior Leadership Team's review on a weekly basis.
Conduct and complete Quality and Health & Safety Process Confirmations as required at suppliers.
Actively participate in the Supplier Surveillance Team's Continuous Improvement Plan.
Evidence of competence in quality management auditing and supplier auditing
Evidence in supporting quality investigations in line with company process to determine root cause and permanent corrective actions.
Knowledge in the use of Quality tools and techniques.
Manufacturing and cross discipline process knowledge.
Knowledge of relevant Defence (DEF STANS) and ISO standards (9001:2015).
Constantly pursue the policy of get it right first time, taking actions to ensure Quality standards of own and others work are met.
