Our client is looking for a Supervisory Engineer for a contract role based in Grangemouth.


Position and Qualifications

Minimum HNC/HND, experience within a top tier COMAH site, ideally Petrochemical with Supervisory experience.

The ideal candidate will be familiar and experienced in the following:

LOLER regulations and have Appointed Persons certification.

A good understanding of PUWER and COSHH regulations, ideally with a Health and safety qualification, NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent.

Operating a permit to work system, including isolation and lock off procedures. Worked on rotating equipment in an industrial setting, with knowledge of laser alignment systems /mechanical seals.

A proactive attitude and approach. Assisting in the repair and root cause analysis of failures.

Have an understanding of PSSR regulations and Hydraulic pressure testing procedures.

Coordinate between all internal department and stakeholders in the planning and execution of all maintenance activities. Communicating between departmental requests and requirements and the planning department to ensure all work is planned and resources effectively allocated. Carrying out all maintenance work to the desired standards and allocated time scales.

To provide a maintenance function to the process department, to manage and carry out repairs to all mechanical plant and equipment in order to minimise down time and loss of production

Computer literate with Word, Excel, Microsoft project.

Possess good people skills with experience of leading and managing individuals as well as teams.

Be comfortable with dealing with people at all levels and developing good working relationships.

Have worked on major outages, plant shutdowns (TARS), and be good at managing stressful situations.
