ROLE DESCRIPTION An integral part of the project management team, acting as subsea decision making authority on an FPSO conversion project. This is a key position within the project team reporting to the project manager. Initial period of engagement is 10 to 12 months on a full time basis to oversee the FEED stage engineering and design of the subsea infrastructure and controls systems for a greenfield FPSO conversion. The Client partner and main contractor is providing the shuttle tanker, currently operating in the West of Shetland, as the candidate vessel for the FPSO conversion. Subject to satisfactory performance, the successful candidate is expected to progress into the Detailed Design and Installation phases of the project. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES * Support the Projects Manager to ensure that the work is planned, specified, engineered and executed to meet the safety, environmental and production obligations of the business, and effectively manage interfaces with other business stakeholders and contractor teams supporting the work-scopes * Identify the best possible and most cost assured turret and subsea solutions. * Provide technical supervision to the contractors engaged on subsea engineering activity. * Ensure risks associated with turret and subsea infrastructure design are understood and effectively managed. DUTIES INCLUDE * To ensure that each subsea work-scope is correctly engineered, planned and can be executed safely within the capability of the subsea resources to meet the project remit, and which supports the business goals * Manage related partners by ensuring that subsea scopes are properly defined. * Approval, checking and preparation of design / engineering documentation. * Provide specialist input to the project team to help them understand what can be achieved and identify best possible solutions. * To ensure that a management system and procedural framework is in place to safely, environmentally responsibly and efficiently manage subsea activities ensuring that activities are both relevant and are applied in the execution of the work and to liaise with the project sponsor and the Diving/ROV technical authority to agree appropriate requirements * Active participation in safety reviews (incl. safety case) and definition of discipline related standards and procedures. * Ensure compliance with industry standards by active engagement and IDC reviews with the alliance partners. * Review requests for concessions/deviations from discipline technical standards and procedures. * Supervision of the subsea project team. DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY

Responsible for approving subsea methods and procedures. Reviews and makes recommendations on: methodologies and procedures scope modification proposals risk assessment and hazard identification non-conformances and deviations
