An opportunity has arisen for a Subject Matter Expert within Procurement and with experience of a Data Engineer to work with the team with one of our prestigious clients
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Provide analytics support for the Procurement Transformation Programme, by helping to substantiate return on investment, quantifying validations and quantifying estimates
- Provide expertise in streamlining and digitising complex process to deliver value and efficiency to the end user
- Act as an enabler for the application of technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), as a facilitator to define requirements for integrations
- The ProcTx project is charged with introducing new technology and ways of working to create a more efficient Procurement organisation across the business,
- This role will be expected to help define the requirements, assist the sourcing activity, implement, and imbed the technologies that support the Business
- The role will work across levels, functions and will need to show a good balance of technical and soft skills
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The SME - Procurement Engineer is accountable for
- Digitisation, automation and digitalisation of new, existing, or modified the business processes arising out of the transformational changes
- Support the technical requirements on a number of transformational objectives
- Provide support for user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Help roll out technical solutions and provide training and support as required
- Engage with stakeholders to create a continuous improvement feedback loop
- Ability to present complex solutions simply, with accuracy and clarity
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in role, the SME - Procurement Engineer will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- Firm understanding of data, analytics and how to use different sources to create business or process insight
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Structured, logical and practical thinking
Recognising the restricted nature of the work there is a requirement for the candidate to be eligible to obtain Security Clearance for this role.
