We are looking for a SUB PROJECT MANAGER for the High Security Area Project, Sellafield based.

Ideally the individual will be a P4 Pass holder SC cleared and have previous Project Management experience, including the APM Level D professional qualification.


Delivering fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.

Developing and executing effective execution strategies and plans in line with the overall project strategies and plans.

Ensuring the relevant project risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate. This includes regular monitoring of the residual risks.

Managing the quality, schedule and cost for the sub project scope to the agreed baseline.

Maintaining effective communications and executing the project strategies within the project team.

Leading and coaching the team to maximise efficiency and effectiveness to deliver in a timely manner fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.

Maximising Learning from Experience, disseminating and input of LFE across all project stages.

Provision of weekly updates to the Planner, to enable effective progress monitoring and schedule accuracy.

Attendance at daily construction meetings, to support forward planning, preparation and readiness for delivery of the required scope.

Organising site visits to ensure stakeholders are well briefed on progress/issues.

Facilitate in the maintenance of effective integrated project execution plan

Provision of response to Early Warning Notices and attendance at weekly commercial meetings.

Progression of timely responses to Technical Queries and Product Permits raised by the main delivery contractor.

Daily liaison with the main contractor delivering the works.

Upward reporting of issues to the Project Manager.

Liaising with the construction team and main delivery contractor to ensure the environmental, security and conventional safety constraints are adhered to.

Deputising for the Project Manager, during periods of annual leave or clashing commitments.

Educated to HNC / HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a chartered engineering & member of an appropriate institute.

APM Level D professional qualification.

MS Office suite of programmes
