Structures Technician (B3T)

Permanent

Holyhead, Anglesey

£25,102 + Shift Uplift + Overtime + Package

The individual will be responsible for the provision of Forward and Depth support for the Hawk T2 aircraft. The successful applicant will report to the Structures Bay Controller and will carry out tasking in order to complete the day-to-day maintenance activities within the section. The position requires the individual to have a working knowledge of aircraft structure repairs.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and experience:

Qualifications and Experience

Current grade of B3T (Fitter)

Hold NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Airframe Maintenance.

Received military aircraft technical training in the Airframe Discipline.

Should possess experience working in an aircraft engineering environment with practical structural repair experience either in aircraft manufacture or as part of a repair team.

Able to interpret and follow technical drawings accurately.

Skills

Should possess sound fault diagnosis skills.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of structural repair criteria.

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of aircraft airframe systems, trade related publications and MOD paperwork.

Good literacy and numeric skills.

Complete a practical test job prior to interview the test job is to be completed within a set time frame and to be within -+ .5mm tolerance (details will be issued following receipt of application).

A focus attention to detail and fastidious in aspects of cleanliness and husbandry.
