Morson International is looking for Steelworkers for our client based in Barrow In Furness
Working safely at all times, taking yourself and others into consideration before starting a job, complying with all health and safety and all other relevant regulations and guidelines. Follow the relevant process instructions, engineered drawings and workmanship standards, display the appropriate methods and techniques to set, fabricate, assemble, install steelwork, woodwork and composite structures and provide support for associated activities, checking the completed task to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required specification and must be able to use associated tools and equipment safely and effectively.
We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual with good time keeping ability, must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to work as part of a team. You must also be able to work on your own in confined spaces and at heights and be able to do shift work if required.
Must be a timed served Steelworker, Plater, Fabricator or Shipwright must have the ability to fabricate from drawings to the required tolerances, must be conversant with the use of certain pneumatic tools and trade relevant equipment (Mig welder, grinders, drills, saw's rotary files etc). Also have the ability to line off from engineered drawings to the required tolerances. Knowledge of Dry Survey, marking off, mock-up and wood experience would be desirable.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
