We have an excellent opportunity for a SOLIDWORKS 3D MODELLING ENGINEER (CAD OPERATOR) working within the nuclear industry

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Proven experience working with Solidworks 3D animation software to produce, from existing 2D Solidworks drawings of an operating area, animated installation and operational films.

The animated films shall visually show to the Company customers and stakeholders, installation or operational tasks in the operating area are achievable within the given space constraints.

Proven experience using Microsoft Office applications top produce technical reports and supporting documentation to the animated films.

Ability to interface with customers and stakeholders to produce the animated films.

Ability to work with Official Sensitive accredited IT systems.

Ability to work 1 to 2 days per week at an off site facility to ensure the animated films are fit for purpose and to liaise with key stakeholders.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Proven experience producing Solidworks 3D animation sequences and films, to be demonstrated at interview.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to enable ideas and concepts to be clearly communicated to customers


JOB CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES

The Project Engineering Delivery Team provides multi discipline project engineering support to active nuclear and non-active projects.

The team cover all aspects of the project engineering stages, scope, planning, concept design, detail design, manufacture, safety case, testing, safe system of work production, installation, and commissioning.

Company expertise includes the supply of research and development rigs for non active use, operational rigs for use in a nuclear environment, and infrastructure improvements, all delivered to quality, time and cost agreed with internal customers.
