Our client is seeking Software Engineers for contracts to support a Satellite Simulator project.

The client architect and deliver satellite-based systems that help position, connect and observe our planet, and push the boundaries of our understanding of planet's resources. Their systems are in orbit at 400 km, 20000 km, 36000 km and beyond to the edges of the solar system.

KEY TASKS
The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Review of customer requirements
  • Define software requirements for EGSE systems
  • Design/Develop/Validate EGSE software
  • Produce and maintain the documentation for the EGSE software
  • Technical support to the software users

KEY SKILLS / PROVEN ABILITY

Proven ability in the following fields is required:

  • Object Oriented Software design & development (UML, C++, Python, Java)
  • Code Version Control (SVN / Git)
  • Unit and integration test frameworks
  • API documentation tools (e.g. doxygen, Sphinx)
  • Knowledge of modern build systems (e.g. Maven, CMake)

Ability in the following fields will be considered an asset:

  • DevOps (Jenkins, Docker, etc.)
  • Developing software to ESA standard ECSS-E-ST-40C
  • S/C data bus protocols: MIL-STD-1553 / Spacewire / CAN
  • ESA SMP2 modelling standard
  • ESA Packet Utilization Standard (PUS)
  • Satellite Reference Database (SRDB) / MIB format
  • RATIONAL DOORS knowledge
