Primary Purpose of the Role:

For Air To Ground Global product, we are looking for a Linux Software Engineer as part of the flight avionics (FLX) technical team who can help us build components for the proof of concept of our end to end (airborne segment to ground segment) connectivity solution.

The Air To Ground Global product is an end to end platform solution which will provide various connectivity services onboard to improve passenger onboard experience as well as crew experience and airline operations.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

The Linux Software/Firmware Engineer role encompasses the following responsibilities and tasks:

- Develop a system health data reporting application which would pull data via network protocol such as SNMP. Also the application should manage IP routes and IP tables.

- Set up a backend database with the reported data to be displayed on a frontend application

- Develop a small webapp on a linux server

- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests

- Generate technical documentation (functional specifications, flow and message diagrams, API definitions)

- Participate in logical architecture definition

Skills and Experience

  • Good understanding of OOP principles with specific application development in PHP
  • Good understanding of Linux and Device Driver Development
  • Experience with Network Management Protocols and Socket programming: TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP
  • Works well in an engineering environment that requires communication and collaboration with fellow team members
