Our client are a multinational electric utility and facilities company, which operates in the fields of electricity generation and distribution, natural gas, nuclear and renewable energy.
They are currently recruiting for a Multi skilled site engineer in Leeds on a 3 month contract which is likely to go permanent.
General Overview:
Client / Customer
* Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests
* Coordinate quotations with the Account Manager
* Use preferred suppliers
* Proactive approach to maintenance- spotting faults before they become a failure
* Daily meetings with site engineering manager to provide updates
* Provide a focus for site FM activity to allow customer to focus on their core activity

Helpdesk - PPM
* Support the Helpdesk: in servicing and breakdowns of A/C and refrigeration appliances
* Be available for out of hours call-out support for the contract
* Responsible for completing planned and reactive maintenance on site, including general PPMs and all A/C PPMs
* Management and onboarding of subcontractors, ensuring permits are issued where appropriate and works are signed off when completed
* Completion of reactive works reported through the helpdesk, and co-ordination of offsite resource where needed
* Ad-hoc proactive maintenance tasks where appropriate such as building fabric maintenance
* Regular liaison with the helpdesk
Compliance
* Achieve appointment as Refrigeration Responsible and Competent Person
* Production of information for quotations
* Production and collation of Condition / Dilapidation Reports
* Complete report accident, near misses returns in a timely manner
* Ensure the site supervisor is informed immediately if dangerous circumstances occur
* Ensuring site log books are kept up to date to provide an excellent standard of compliance
* Act as site competent person for water systems, and LV systems following assessment through appointment system

SHEQ
* Comply with requests for information from SHEQ manager
* Ensure you work to company health and safety policy
* Ensue PPE is safe to use
* Ensure your test equipment is within calibration
* Creation of Method Statements & Risk Assessments for all works
* Completion of all mandatory E-Learning modules
* Follow site and reporting procedures for H&S incidents, near miss reporting
* Challenge unsafe behaviours
General
* Regular updates to the customers on site and to the Account Manager
* Provide detailed quotations using approved suppliers
* Coordination with wider site team (security, cleaning and reception) to ensure minimal disruption to customer activities

Impact:
Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable multi-skilled engineer to work on this key customer site. The Successful candidate will also be screened to BS7858 Security vetting to work on this contract, including 5 year address history, 5 year work history and credit referencing

Qualifications or Required Experience:
* Recognised EITB or CITB apprenticeship or other similar approved training or further education qualifications in an appropriate discipline
* Minimum air conditioning engineer qualifications to NVQ level 2
* Fully conversant with all major manufactures systems and equipment
* Must have C&G award in 2079-11 F-Gas Cat1 and ODS regulations
* L8 Awareness
* Experience of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria.
* Recognised Health and Safety Qualification, such as NEBOSH / IOSH would be advantageous.
* 18th Edition electrical qualification and experience working in a similar environment
* Must be able to read and work to mechanical and electrical schematic drawings.
