Site based Project Manager - Tynemouth - Contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Site based Project Manager with a background within the Retail Construction sector to undertake a £2m refurbishment project of a Supermarket in Tynemouth. This will be working with a reputable leading Nationwide contractor who specialise in a variety of sectors.

The Role

- You will be a leading member of the Retail operational team and will be responsible for the full project management cycle, from planning stage through to project completion and aftercare.
- You will be working with a demanding retail client on a live environment project for a 16 week period.
- You will be required to look at areas of development and communicate across all levels of management to establish a brief for the projects that clearly define the objectives.
- You will create and plan the time-lines for delivery and manage the design team, as well as the contractors to ensure cost, time, accuracy, and quality standards are met.
- You will maintain records and work folders as well as oversee the construction work ensuring a high-quality product with limited snagging is delivered on time and to budget.

The ideal Candidate

- You must have previous experience and a proven track record in a similar environment, demonstrating a high quality of projects within food retail and/or fuel stations.
You will ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and hold a CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid and have a Full clean driving licence.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and share ideas for process improvements.
You will be confident in your ability and challenge bad practice.
Be a good problem solver, be able to prioritise workloads and be well organised with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
You will need to have attention to detail, commercial awareness, and a basic understanding of CDM regulations.
