Seeking a Software Engineer C/C++ Full LifeCycle design who has working within the Aviation and/or Naval simulation sectors who possessed a good working knowledge of military systems. The ideal scenario would be previously work history simulating modern aircraft and/or naval vessels.

AT THE COAL FACE TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertaking the specification, design, implementation, test and integration of software in line with required standards.
• Capturing customer requirements, and in the absence of clearly defined specifications be able to understand the customer's underlying goals in order propose software requirements.
• Interfacing with the software design and system IVVQ teams to ensure traceable validation of software and system requirements.
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers to understand their needs.

We would like to see a working knowledge of Aircraft and/or Naval Mission Systems.

• Simulation architecture and systems knowledge.
• Aircraft/Naval simulation system integration and testing.
• C/C++ programming.
• Equipment interfacing; message formatting, time-sensitivity, inter-dependencies, etc.

A good understanding / working knowledge for many of the following Aircraft/Naval systems:

1) Automatic Identification System (AIS)

2) Data Link Terminals (DLT)

3) Electro-Optics (EO)

4) Electronic Warfare (EW)

5) Ground Mission Planning Systems Support

6) Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF)

7) Maritime Sensors (Sonar, Acoustics, MAD)

8) Mission Computers Support

9) Signal Attenuation

10) Stores management System (SMS)

11) Terrain Interrogation (TINT)

DESIRABLE SKILLS / ABILITY / KNOWLEDGE

• Analytical knowledge of industry standards, such as ARINC 429, AFDX, CAN.
• Real-time programming.
• Avionics systems relating to Aircraft.
