Our Client is expanding its team consultants and analysts and require a Simulation Modelling Consultant to work with their clients across government and industry to support key business decisions.

As a Simulation Modelling Consultant, you will bring specific experience of designing and building simulation models and using these to conduct analysis and derive insights. This may include discrete-event simulation, system dynamics, Monte Carlo simulations, statistical models, Agent-Based models or other similar techniques.

Responsibilities as a Simulation Modelling Consultant may involve:

Leading or working within project teams

Delivering simulation modelling projects, and other analytical consultancy projects, to time, cost and quality

Consulting with clients to understand their requirements and develop solutions

Scoping, specifying, building and documenting simulation models to meet client needs

Using simulations to generate outputs and conducting analysis to turn these outputs into clear findings

Communicating and presenting findings to clients

Providing guidance and technical assurance to simulation studies, to ensure that the models and outputs are fit for purpose

Transferring knowledge and capability to colleagues and clients, to ensure simulations are effectively deployed and to maintain / grow capability within the business

Conducting/supporting business winning activities including customer engagement and proposal writing

Experience will ideally include some or all of the following:

Delivery of analysis/consultancy projects involving simulation modelling (using e.g. SIMUL8, Vensim, iThink, @Risk, AnyLogic, RStudio)

Working directly with clients and stakeholders

Use of consulting techniques to diagnose client requirements and develop robust technical solutions

Managing projects to agreed budgets and timescales

A degree in a numerate subject, or relevant experience to offset
