We are currently helping our client, to recruit for a shift manager.
Our client is based near Wroxham, but due to location, candidates MUST have their own transport.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Health and Safety
Promote and support a safe working environment and foster a culture of 'safety first' and 'make it safe'.
Ensure that all H&S policies are adhered to by employees and contractors provide training where required, and report any concerns to the Operations Manager.
Drive continuous reduction in accidents on your shift.
Co-ordinate with departments to complete risk assessments as required and close out actions generated from these assessments as directed by the Operations Manager.
Develop and implement business unit operational strategy. Continually review and adjust the strategy in line with internal and external changes.
Develop, review and deliver positive KPI results in People (H&S), Quality, Cost and Service that deliver against the operations strategy.
Identify and implement plans to ensure any gaps with meeting the production plan are filled prior to Production starting.
Establish shift requirements in skill set and core staff required, set out and maintain plans to achieve these requirements.
Develop and lead the shift team to ensure they are engaged, high performing and deliver green KPIs.
Coach and develop the teams to use SIC tools and effectively use them to resolve root cause issues.
Encourage an environment of support and challenge amongst the team and a sense of pride and passion. manage on going performance and succession of direct reports. Build teams through skills assessment, training, coaching, feedback and support.
Manage the availability of labour against the plan.
Identify areas of improvement, through spend or line optimisation to improve labour control against each product.
Through analysis of performance data, identify performance gaps, trends and improvement opportunities and communicate internally using visual management standards in production and internally to Operations Manager.
Site Communications & Engagement
Lead by example ensuring appropriate cross functional alignment & engagement with all support functions as appropriate to the site needs and the benefit of the business as a whole.
Actively manage all shift communications with all internal and external stakeholders. Passionately promote the site with customers and internal stakeholders. Engage & build good working relationships with shift team and cross functional Managers.
Our client is looking for an experienced shift managere preferably within a food production background.
Shifts range from 6am-12midnight 7 days a week, so candidate must be flexible with working hours.
