Our client, BAE Systems, are looking for a Senior QC Inspector (Weld Inspection) to work as part of the Inspection and NDT department across the latest submarine platform. Will be required to work at Sub-contractor sites based in Newcastle and Liverpool. Various Shifts & 7 day working arrangements may apply.

Skills and Qualifications:

PCN Level II UT Plate & Pipe
CSWIP 3.1 or PCN Level II Welding Inspector
Understanding of NDE equipment and process and reporting
Sound computer skills in word and excel

5 years experience

Duties include:

Liaising/ interfacing with appropriate areas both internally and externally, to ensure work schedule and results are communicated to the appropriate areas
Understanding and interpretation of Non Destructive Examination techniques, highlighting any non-conformances for inspections undertaken and report via SAP and the Joint Management Database
Adding value to QA standard documentation and processes by being part of the review team
Reporting results of inspections using agreed processes.
To carry out routine work with limited supervision and complex tasks under direct supervision in their related area.
To be able to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measures.
Liaise / Interface with appropriate areas both Internally & Externally to ensure work schedule and results are communicated to the appropriate areas.
Understanding and interpretation of measurement equipment tolerances, highlighting any non-conformances for inspections undertaken and report via SAP.
Add value to QA Standard Documentation & Processes by being part of the review team.
