We are looking for a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER to join the team based at the Westlakes Science Park

This successful Candidate will be accountable for the delivery of the CNC Encrypted Communications Concept Design and Detailed Design phases of work.


Managing a high number of client stakeholders for the successful completion of the design

Delivering fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements

Developing and executing effective execution strategies and plans in line with the overall project strategies and plans

Ensuring relevant project risks are identified and managed, mitigated as appropriate

Managing the quality, schedule and cost of the project

Collate and report the earned value metrics on a monthly basis

Maintaining effective communications and executing the project strategies within the CNC Encrypted Comms project team

Leading and coaching the team to maximise efficiency and effectiveness to deliver in a timely manner fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements

Maximising the learning from previous experience, with the input of other similar projects across all project stages

Attendance at meetings, to lead forward planning, preparation and readiness for delivery of the required scope

Ensure project documentation is complete and updated through the project

Manage Early Warning Notices with attendance at weekly commercial meetings

Lead communications with the main contractor delivering the construction works

Liaising with the SL construction team and main construction contractor to ensure the environmental, security and conventional safety constraints are adhered to

Project Management experience of delivering multi million pound Nuclear projects in a highly regulated environment (on a Nuclear Licensed Site) with a significant number of stakeholders

Track record of working in a Project Management role demonstrating good team leadership experience

Demonstrable knowledge of commercial and contract management associated with a Project Management role

Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capability

Ability to work in a collaborative environment with appropriate behaviours

Should meet SL PM02 R2A2 as a minimum

Must be qualified to HND or Degree level in an associated discipline and have recognised PM accreditation, APM or PMI

Role initially 6m but is expected to be extended beyond.
