We are currently offering a 4 month opportunity working with a key client in the defence sector.

Job Description

As a Senior Programme Control Analyst, you will be leading a product line within Rochester Business Centre and be the UK lead for a product line managed out of the US. You will lead completion of the forecasting process for the product lines and the projects you own and ensure compliance with the financial policies.


-Leading the Controls Product Line, working with the Assistant Financial Controller (AFC) to report the consolidate and report the Product Line financials

-Ensuring the projects and product line are fully compliant with the BAE Systems Operational Framework and Finance Policies Manual to satisfy all governance requirements for both internal and external audit reviews

-Working with key stakeholders in completion of financial forecasts in support of operating plans (annual budget), quarterly business reviews, 5-year integrated business plans and weekly salient updates

-Challenging assumptions to establish robust forecasts and capture financial risks, opportunities and associated mitigation plans

-Financially leading a number of projects within the Controls and MAS product lines. Completing all reporting requirements on behalf of those projects including Contract Status Reports (CSRs) and Sales and Margin Trading Plans (SMTP)

-Support Finance Continuous Improvement initiatives

-Support the bids and tenders process as required

About you

Ideally you will be CIMA qualified or a passed finalist with excellent communication and presentation skills.

You will have the ability to challenge and influence senior management across multiple functions as well as managing the expectation of multiple stakeholders against conflicting deadlines whilst maintaining a consistent position on the financials

Strong Excel skills and ability to pick up new IT systems is essential.

Within this role you will be working with a wider team and must have the ability to work well with others and be a true team player.

The successful candidate will need to undergo security clearance checks in line with site requirements.
