Job Description
Performing updates as requested by the safety team and providing statistics as required by management
To undertake a range of Product Safety activities in line with all relevant project and corporate processes and any specific customer requirements
To facilitate the implementation of relevant Product Safety processes and production of deliverables
Duties:
Provide support to the Function TA teams with the management of the hazards, risks and associated mitigations and contribute to the development of the hazard log and the maturity of information contained within.
Verify the quality of submissions to the Hazard Log
Produce monthly statistics on the contents of the Hazard Log
Organise & Facilitate HAZIDs and review meetings and contribute to other HAZIDs as required
Work with the TA teams and embedded Safety Engineers in collating adequate PS related evidence to support the safety case and acceptance via the Requirements Acceptance Team
Knowledge & Experience
Able to demonstrate experience of working with safety in large or complex projects
Experience of using SMARTer Tool
Knowledgeable with respect to Product Safety Legislation & Regulation, including use of ANEP-77 as applicable
Familiar with Maritime Product Environmental Legislation & Regulation
Experience in safety Risk management, this will include hazard identification, analysis, risk assessment & mitigation
Familiar with rules, operating methodologies & Certifying responsibilities of:
MoD Naval Authorities or other Navy's Safety Regulators
Lloyds Register or other Classification Society Rules & Regulations
Aware of formal Hazard/ Safety assessment techniques and methods such as:
HAZID
HAZOPS
FHA
SWIFT
FTA/ETA
FMEA
Additional Experience:
Knowledge of safety Management processes & techniques
Experience of working in more than 1 phase of the Life Cycle Management (LCM) framework, with sufficient experience of the total LCM to enable a good understanding of adjacent phases and through life engineering issues
Awareness of Customer (Ship/ System Safety) standards such as:
DSA-02
JSP 430
