B229 Engineering Support
Design support to the delivery of the Analytical Services project portfolio of multi-discipline design activities to support COSR implementation and ongoing asset care activities.
Responsible for producing design packages for Tasks and Minor Projects for decommissioning, replacing existing equipment and new installations within Analytical Services.
Job Description / Role
To lead and produce design package across the portfolio, under the management and supervision of the responsible engineer.
Candidates will be required to
*Apply the principles of the Sellafield gated process to all tasks and activities for which they are involved in.
*Determine Engineering Requirements.
*Produce or check outline designs and documentation.
*Produce or check detailed designs and documentation.
*Deliver tasks for which they are accountable to project cost and schedule.
*Produce high quality documentation, drawings and project deliverables.
*Assist the Responsible Engineer at design reviews with clear presentation of the tasks design deliverables to all attendees.
*Guide and mentor graduates, apprentices and other team members.
Experience and Qualifications
*Understanding of Pipe Specifications and piping design.
*Experience in the Nuclear Industry.
*A working knowledge of national and international codes, specifications and standards.
*Proven track record, demonstrating the ability to produce, deliver and check design documentation to agreed timescales and budget.
*Experience of design delivery using the SL Management System.
*Familiar with DM Desktop and Cimage, Registration of Drawings and SL procedures and processes (SLMS).
*Development of designs against Safety Case requirements and
Engineering Design Safety Principles.
*B229 Active / Non Active Inducted
*Experience of B229 Facility
*Respirator fit test trained.
*SL Log On
*P1 or P4 Pass Holder.
Ability to achieve SC
Design Tools / Software
Microsoft Office, Autocad 2014 or newer, Microsoft Outlook DM Desktop/Cimage.
