We have an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Designer based between Westlakes and Sellafield, Cumbria.

Please note this role is inside of IR35

Job Role

Engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, including recent positions where examples of design outputs have been successfully manufactured, installed and commissioned.
Awareness of laws, regulations, processes and procedures appropriate to the area supported.
Current experience of mechanical design and detailing of plant and equipment, including solutions, regulations, standards and operating environment.
Knowledge of relevant design tools, techniques such as
Inventor/Auto Cad/BIM
Full time Sellafield site attendance in support of the installation and setting to work of plant and materials (equipment for installation as part of the works), including
Able to clearly and concisely communicate ideas and information in English verbally, in writing and via drawings.
Able to liaise with Engineers in support of the TQ process for recommendation, resolution.

Qualifications

Experience: 10 years +, preferred chartered.
Skills: 3D model aware, experienced in mech eng design across the stages, aptitude for site based problem solving. Nuclear project experience essential.
People skills: good communications skills, integrate into multi-discipline team, customer focus, team player.
Developing and designing Drawings and designs.
Must have good knowledge of process instrumentation.
Must have excellent knowledge of electrical panel design processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Knowledge of AVEVA Instrumentation and AVEVA Electrical shall be advantageous.
