As Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will be fully responsible for the production and management of technical designs, and report writing, flood risk assessments, schematic designs, masterplan designs, drawings and specifications for the infrastructure projects associated with public and privately funded developments as well as international projects. In addition to this, you will be required to plan and provide resourcing schedules, financial planning and fee proposals associated with your project or part of the project you are responsible for. The role will also involve liaison with clients, local authorities and representatives from external organisations.
Working on your own initiative and drive with minimal to no supervision, the role will also involve the support and supervision of junior team members.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will also be responsible for the technical review and checking of design information and reports prepared by others, and so must have the ability to liaise with and coordinate the work of other specialists within Our Client and with 3rd parties. Work must be completed in accordance with Our Client quality and Health & Safety requirements and financial constraints. The Principal Infrastructure Engineer will also be required to produce or assist with the production of proposals for new commissions, and undertaking project management and financial control of a project or part of a project you are responsible for.
The ideal applicant will be required to have good and professional communication skills both oral and written and the ability to use computer modelling and design software associated with below ground drainage designs, earthworks and specification writing.(i.e. XP Solutions, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, NBS Buildings and NBS Create).
You must be experienced in the production of detailed design information, technical reports, drawings, tender documents & specifications, integration with BIM for public and private developments, and familiar with Design Standards such as Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations, National Planning Policy Framework, Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and LEED, the Specifications for Highways works and other relevant British infrastructure regulations.
You must be experienced in drainage infrastructure to adoptable standards including the negotiation of Section 104 and 106. Having experience in international projects will be a benefit.
