We are currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer on a contracting basis to be based from Greece.
This is a temporary contract for 3 weeks.
Candidates must have 2 to 5 years experience leading geotechnical operations with the following equipment: CPT Roson, CPT Neptune, Vibrocore, Piston core

Conduct offshore geotechnical activities in line with industry and NEXT accepted standards, following instruction from the party chief/OPM/ Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Industry recognised medical and survival course.

Sample logging in accordance with the principal standards (Euro code 7, BS, Aashto, Din)
Undertake basic offshore laboratory testing (TRT, SRB) and soil-rock testing (Moisture, Bulk density, Atterberg limits, PSD, Motorvane, UU, Point load)
Production of factual geotechnical reports will be required while working in the field

Recognised BSc degree or equivalent in Geotechnics or marine/civil engineering
Experience working with geotechnical data, quality control and processing of CPT data (PCPT and T-bar)
Good technical report writing skills and a basic understanding of laboratory testing
Good software skills for production of logs, especially Microsoft Excel and gINT.

- 5 to 10 years' experience offshore
- Post graduate degree preferable
- Advanced understanding of laboratory testing
- Advanced understanding of marine stratigraphy and soil engineering
- Experience on geotechnical analysis (BAS, Spudcan, Pile)
- Party Chief/ OPM experience and skill set
