To maintain and develop a wide range of engineering activities associated with the control and maturity management of the wholeship design. Supporting the Chief Engineer's governance through process, toolsets, reporting and measures that demonstrate design integrity is maintained through to in-service. Working with multiple stakeholders to evolve the processes and measures to provide confidence of the design maturity for transition targets as the product progresses through the engineering lifecycle phases.
Engineering knowledge to develop maintain and evolve processes and guidance to control, manage and measure engineering artefact maturity.
Managing the Engineering Technical Maturity, through coordinating Zonal Reviews and designating / implementing Maturity Targets relating to transition gates.
Management of Engineering Quality Issues and Stakeholder Observations relating to Compartment Plan Approvals
Windchill Document and Process Management
Interacting with all stakeholders in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and manage scope and priorities
Organised and self-motivated, capable of providing accurate information in a timely manner.
Experience of communicating engineering issues and providing specifications for toolset developments, including communications, training and support of deployed toolsets and reports.
STEM Degree, working towards a degree or equivalent qualification, or level of experience working within an engineering discipline
LCM Governance, practical experience of Design or phase Reviews, knowledge of Maturity Management.
GCS Engineering Processes, Toolsets and project reporting toolsets
Experience producing Excel Spreadsheets and graphical representation of data.
Ability to produce Technical Information providing supporting evidence of assurance to all stakeholders
Experience of Process Confirmations or Audit activities.
Stakeholder Management and excellent communication skills
Professional Registration, working toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
Able to perform robust analysis using recognised analytical tools and to make sound judgements based on experience level.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of all Design Assurance and associated Technical Maturity measures used as part of Policy and Engineering Framework.
Has sufficient breadth of knowledge of warship design and the recognise the decision points and measures necessary for decision making.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting responses in assigned areas of work to support all engineering and non-engineering domains working on the project.
5 Years' experience in engineering on a defence programme
Good working experiences in more than one phase of the Lifecycle, with sufficient experience of the total LCM to enable a good understanding of adjacent phases and through life engineering issues
Evolution of working processes for increase efficiency or improvement of deliverables, working at all levels of stakeholder engagement.

Typically degree qualified (or working toward a degree), likely to be in a technology, engineering or science related discipline
Meet the requirements for registration As Incorporated Engineer (or Chartered Engineer) with the Engineering Council and preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Body
