To undertake a defined range of engineering activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements, supplying advice and support to operations and other functions and ensuring defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements. This position is required to carry out Quantitative Risk Assessment on the Marine Systems.
Extensive Fault Tree Analysis and Quantitative Risk Assessment experience
Extensive Fault Tree Plus software experience
Understanding of reliability documentation
Understanding of Mil Standards
Platform systems knowledge and understanding
Possesses in-depth knowledge of all aspects within his/her discipline.
Able to perform robust analysis using recognised draughting and analytical tools and to make sound judgements based on experience.
Has sufficient breadth of knowledge of warship design and the sound judgement needed to be able make correct trade-off decisions
Provide technical support and troubleshooting responses in assigned areas to operational units or other activities.
5 Years' experience in engineering or a defence or related industry
Good working experiences in more than one phase of the LCM, with sufficient experience of the total LCM to enable a good understanding of adjacent phases and through life engineering issues
Structural solutions, calculations, design sketches and drawings supporting design and assessment tasks, specific to own discipline.

Typically degree qualified (not essential) , likely to be in a technology, engineering or science related discipline
Meet the requirements for registration As Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and preferably be a member of a relevant Professional Body
