My utilities client is looking for Senior Cost Managers to join their team in Newport.
This role will provide specialist commercial expertise to all projects delivered under the framework. The role will possess a high level of knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts and be qualified to degree level with demonstrable experience in a construction environment, preferably in the water industry.
The role will ensure compliance with the Company commercial governance requirements and the ability to measure performance of teams and individuals to ensure a best in class commercial management service.
The role will act as lead within the relevant work stream and provide line management to a minimum of two Quantity Surveyors ensuring best practice project commercial governance.
The role will develop and maintain quality management systems for both internal and external delivery of projects and identify efficiency savings against the Company financial plans.
In addition the role will:
Work closely with the Company's procurement team to ensure that all frameworks and contracts that are established are driving efficiency and they are administered effectively in the delivery phase.
Ensure industry best practice is identified and implemented.
Make day to day decisions on behalf of the Company in all aspects of the cost and commercial management of the programme of work, within the parameters specified by the Company from time to time.
Implement credible and robust monthly Cost & Commercial reporting to measure the effectiveness of delivery.
