Recruiting for a Senior QS to be based in Derby working for a leading client in the Rail Industry.
Rail experience: ideally 10 years' experience, QS Degree or MRICS.

New assignment for a 3-month contract in Derby (with occasional visits to Doncaster).

The role will principally be based in Derby (only an occasional requirement for Doncaster) and will be site office based with circa 10-hour days.

Need someone experienced who is not afraid to 'get stuck in'
Will be involved at looking at design variations etc on the Derby Blockade.
This is an urgent vacancy to start asap.
Pay rate - £400 per day.

Outputs and Deliverables
Provision of Commercial management and administration for processing any project applications and certificates for the Alliance Partners.
The Services must monitor the authority levels on each project and facilitate and negotiate their increase through the issuance of Work Agreement Forms (WAFs).
The Services must undertake and be fully experienced with COWD and Commercial Management alongside budget Control and forecasting in an Alliance, similar to the role of a Principal Contractor in a Senior Commercial Management position.
As these Works are a complex major scheme and monitoring change is a high priority within the Project Programme, the Services must undertake and commercially manage the Works through Change Control, ensuring the Change Control Register is updated on a regular basis.
The Service will be required to liaise with Project Delivery/Site teams, ensuring their Target Books are updated.
The Services must attend the various meetings when requested, whether they are weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.
There will be a requirement to attend site on a regular basis, to obtain a full commercial and project understanding of all delivered scope and any change control be actioned. In light of this, the resource will ensure necessary track visitors access permits are obtained and support is provided on site by a person in charge.
