This is a role that requires a high degree of networked skills. You must have an ability to work in a pressurised environment, to challenging deadlines, with a forensic level of attention to detail. You will also need an ability to cope with multiple complex opportunities simultaneously, and will be expected to stand in for the Head of Bids in their absence. You will co-ordinate a virtual bid team with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to prepare a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process in conjunction with the sales lead.


Opportunity Management:
* Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of sources /experts internal and external to company
* Preparing and reviewing the commercial / financial aspects of the bid
* Risk tracking and management
* Taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process, with all necessary procedures and governance adherence / sign off
* Scheduling and facilitating proposal kick-off meetings / key review meetings / final document review
* Coordinate proposal input from a variety of stakeholders
* Coordinate document production, version control and delivery of the completed proposal

Proposal Management:
* Leading bid story boarding sessions, alongside the sales lead
* Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues relating to the bid and how it is to be articulated
* Lead with developing a proposal structure
* Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and visual presentation
* Sound commercial understanding
* Ability to translate cost build up into client pricing breakdown in the way best aligned to win strategy
* Coach sales teams and subject matter experts in persuasive writing and proposal best practice,
* Conduct final document peer quality review
* Confident in dissecting RFPs and identifying frequently asked questions / similar previous proposals

Content Authoring:
* Produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates the organisations value proposition,
* Re-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, without changing technical meaning
* Identify possibility of re-using existing pre-written content where relevant (and re-working to suit as required),
* Develop proposal graphics that have impact and are easy to interpret
* Interpret relevant product /service / business knowledge by producing impactful statistics to quantify a value proposition,
* Control the production of customer facing documentation that is consistently of the highest quality and impact,
* Editing /reviewing proposal content for consistency and grammar
* Assimilate information from experts and re-write it into a defined style, ensuring that it is clearly articulated and easy to integrate into proposals

* Strong team management capabilities
* Strong written English language skills
* Strong commercial understanding
* Professional understanding of templates, macros and styles
* Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office
* Some knowledge of project management would be an advantage
