MAG is the country's largest airport group. Owning East Midlands, Manchester, Stansted and airport services in the USA. With over 40 million passengers, flying to over 250 destinations annually, with tireless work behind the scenes to ensure that the operation is well oiled through the intensive training for 5000+ colleagues across all of our airports. MAG is an exciting environment with multiple billion pound investment projects currently being delivered whilst enjoying a strong period of growth and change.
We are currently looking for a qualified Technical Trainer to support the current team at East Midlands Airport on an interim basis for a period of 3 months, this will be paid on a day rate contractor basis.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role will include:
Delivery of technical training and activities at all levels to internal and external customers to meet regulatory compliance, mandatory and business training needs.
Manage and administer the NXCT (National X-Ray Competency Test) on behalf of the CAA/DfT to both new starters and existing security staff.
Responsible for the induction of groups of up to 14 new starters in all roles within the security environment - Security Ambassador, Aviation Security Officer, Security Team Manager/Leaders and Level 2 Officers. Making appropriate decisions on suitability and sign off.
Responsible for completion of the regulatory administration process, being ready for annual audit by the aviation regulators and driving the adherence to the new including Quality Assurance Framework.
Becoming a subject matter expert and delivering training to cover all operational security areas, and, going forward, external 3rd parties and business groups as well as commercial training to non-MAG partners.
To deliver training events that combine a wide range of leading delivery styles and training techniques to ensure the engagement, participation and knowledge retention of the delegates.
Maintain the relevant technical expertise, standards and accreditation to deliver specified technical training and those of the Training Team.
Maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation, industry best practice and organisational procedures and protocols.
Ensure high quality delivery and consistency across the full scope of learning activities through the attainment of professional learning accreditation or qualifications
You will be a Certified Trainer and have a CIN Number (candidates without this requirement will not be considered)
Operational Understanding and Qualifications - Holder of current DfT Aviation Security (level 3).
Have experience in the design and delivery of learning interventions/training to meet business requirements in an aviation environment.
Learning Styles - Proven experience in responding to a range of learner styles and information preferences.
Training Delivery - Strong presentation, IT (MS Excel highly desirable), training delivery, course planning and facilitation skills.
Communication Skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical.
