Security Network Architect - based in Doncaster, Reading or home-based

We are on the lookout for a Security Network Architect to be a part of an intriguing, exciting and expanding division that works with the latest technologies and on groundbreaking projects.

The position of the Security Network Architect is to provide business driven, cost effective advice on the management of risk and security vulnerabilities for IT Infrastructure customers that follows international standards and guidance. This is a senior position with responsibility for Governance, Authorisation and sign-off on security risk for large enterprise solutions.

You will be working on the following:

  • Design and advisory around network security solutions.
  • Oversee and advise on secure network designs.
  • Governance, Authorisation and sign-off on security risk for large enterprise solutions.
  • Lead for bidding activities for Secure networks.
  • Advise clients on regulation and standards that are applicable to the sector of operation.
  • Provide guidance on how a client can turn their enterprise requirements into secure IT Network designs.
  • Oversight and sign off for projects to identify the vulnerabilities in the IT Networks environment and provide advice on mitigations.
  • Support clients in the development of policies and procedures to contribute to the resiliency of organisations and their IT environments.
  • Support early client engagement to develop business opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients undertaking change activities.

Knowledge of:

  • Secure Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • VMWare ESXi Virtualised Server Environments
  • Microsoft Windows, Linux and BSD server and desktops
  • Inter-domain Gateway, Email and RAS solutions
  • Public Key Infrastructure; Certificate Authorities and HSM
  • Managed Security Service Provision (MSSP) & NOC/SOC Environments
  • Enterprise & Systems Architecting [CR] The following are essential, but could be summarised as "Cisco CCIE and/or equivalent in Juniper"
  • Cisco CCIE R&S Level LAN & WAN
  • Juniper SRX & Cisco ASA Security Devices
