SECURITY LEAD QATAR
This role will execute security responsibilities for one or more complex Security work streams in order to protect the company, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to fulfil regulatory and legal obligations.
You will be required to carry out additional or alternative tasks from time to time, subject to holding the appropriate qualifications.
The role holder must be capable of holding a UK Security Clearance at SECRET Level (SC)
Oversee security tasks and coordinate security services based on relevant policies, standards, procedures and best practices of the assigned work stream(s)
Assess the adequacy of the security measures within their business area to ensure that policies and procedures are up-to-date and take account of developments
Monitor performance of staff in order to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and effectively
Oversee the readiness of their team's response to security incidents
Conduct and review security assessments and define operational requirements for the assigned work stream to protect critical assets.Assure the integrity of Company employees working in the assigned business area by assessing personnel security and access control processes and procedures
Provide security advice and guidance to the business group internal and external stakeholders and make recommendations to improve security solutions for the work stream
Build effective relationships and coordination with key local functions, Qatari Customer, UK Based Security Teams and business representatives. Influence the security culture by raising security awareness among employees and management in the local area and modelling behaviors that demonstrates the Company values. Deliver cross functional peer to peer assurance as part of a 'One Team' Air Sector approach.
Carry out regular Operational reviews to ensure the objectives of the central security intelligence & operational support responsibilities are being met and maintained
Provide reports, intelligence and an overview of the on base security climate to the Head of Middle East entity and/or HoS Air (UK). Ensure requirements for Cryptographic management of UK HMG MoD cryptographic keys and infrastructure are adhered to.
Direct the annual document muster ensuring any PMM failings are identified to the Head of Programme Security UK, and Head of Security Qatar.
Ensure and Assure compliance with all Protectively Marked Material (PMM) mandates regarding creation, retention, storage transportation, access and destruction
Coordinates tasks for the team and checks on quality and work progress of team members
Job holder will be required to provide on the job technical advice to new team members around tasks
Will act as a supervisor to team members and coach/mentor to all new team members and will work within the defined processes and procedures but will need to exercise judgement to determine what solution to a problem is appropriate. The job holder will draw upon his or her past experiences and practice to decide what solution is the most appropriate Information not usually complex in nature.
The job holder is accountable for the quality of the security advice given and tasks completed and their work is linked closely to the work of others within the business. Restricted to related work teams within the business. Advice given and tasks completed impact on the business at employee, line manager level as well as external agencies. Developed communications skills required due to the nature of the work in Security, Tact and diplomacy required to reach a suitable outcome.
Experience of operating in the Middle East desirable.
Typically, college educated, however relevant operational experience will be considered.
An understanding of how own tasks and duties impact others in the team and the overall business, plus an understanding on how the team coordinates their efforts to achieve the overall objectives of the Security Function. A clear understanding of the roles & responsibilities of all of their immediate team members, including the Customer, to help them understand how working as a team help them achieve overall functional objectives and is expected to have good business acumen of all disciplines within the Security sub function and relevant business.
