We are looking to recruit a number of Section / Team Leaders for permanent positions based in Stockport.

The Section Leader has overall responsibility for Operation Support Technicians and operation Support Assistants.

Job Knowledge
To have a clear insight of the workflow across the Fab through understanding:
The process flow through each area and the critical stages
Key equipment, expected output and possible bottlenecks
What is required to keep equipment fully utilised
Area outputs and activity targets
To fully understand the Fab organisational structure and individual roles and responsibilities across Production, Equipment and Process Groups.
To understand the optimum skill mix and capability of your Area
To have a deep understanding of how to measure and plan workflow through your area and the Fab using production tools such as LPSX and the "OUI", etc
To have a clear understanding of business needs and target outputs for end customer.
Ensure the area is operating to maximum efficiency
Fully understand the requirement of the Electronic ECN system, ensuring all your Team select the required Sign-off status and when training is completed that the Training status is reset

Quality & Safety
To conform to all Cleanroom Working Practices and ensure all in your group complete the Fab Quiz , Chemical Safety Quiz and where relevant ESD and Eye Test Quiz's annually.
To follow all work instructions
To encourage and support the Fab in the use of IRIS (Ideas Recomendations Improvements and Solutions)
To ensure the Documentation Control & Change Proposal Process is being applied within your Area
Ensuring all PA's have signed off and understood new Change Proposals
Raising new Change Proposals if required:
to put into practice all safety requirements relevant to the work area and tasks you perform.
To ensure your team complies with all safety requirements relevant to the work and tasks within your area.
To ensure evacuation procedures are known and followed correctly and be an active member of the Alarm

Response Team.
To ensure monthly safety audits are completed by the Safety Reps and that highlighted discrepancies are followed up.
To raise accident and incident reports when required.

Look at ways to engage and empower the team, involve them include them let them know the good things that were achieved and the things the team need to improve on.

To lead the Area and strive to achieve the required activity and output requirement's by :
Managing the flow of work across the area, liaising with the Area Deputy and other Section leaders where required to ensure linearity is maintained
To liaise with production/Maintenance and Process departments to prioritise and agree equipment down time
To have daily meetings with team ensuring they are fully aware of that day's requirements and issues putting effective actions in place to achieve the required activity and output.

Prepare for and attend the Fab Management morning meeting , reporting on the previous days FAB activity and output and acting upon and feedback any issues raised in the morning meeting

Using Gemba Kaizen & 5s to ensure your team are addressing housekeeping issues & potential audit fails.
Ensure the Area has the required support tools available and that they are in full operating working order as per requirement's, if not ensure the relevant action is taken to resolve any issues.
Instil good working practice with the team around check wafer management ensuring efficient behaviours and actions are taken when using and replacing them.
Personnel Issues
To understand confidentiality requirements when dealing with individual records and business information.
To control and organise break times to ensure the Area is always adequately covered
To Manage the booking of holidays, ensuring the Area is adequately covered and review with the MGL any request over the stated limit per area.
To manage training and utilisation of individuals to maintain a balanced level of skills across the Area which will meet both short term efficiency and long term flexibility.
To encourage and guide people to deliver consistent output and quality
To deal with problems or people issues as they arise in a professional and courteous manner, and escalating them to the MGL when appropriate.
To conduct return to work interviews in line with Company procedure.
To counsel individuals as required on issues such as absence, scrap and non-conformance in line with Company procedure.
To prepare and deliver appraisals for Production Assistants, at the designated time, as required.

2 on night shift- 4on , 4 off. 12 hours shift, 7pm to 7am.
