Secretary; Based Blackburn; 12-month contract; £18.00 Ltd per hr (£14.22 paye).

We are currently recruiting a temporary secretary to fulfil a 12-month contract, based at our client's site near Blackburn
The role will require the post holder to support a Director and involves preparation of a variety of documents using MS Word and Power Point. MS Outlook is a daily requirement to manage the meetings on behalf of the Engineering Director. This role's key responsibilities include diary management, arrangements of dates and venue booking, preparing documents and issuing invitations, agendas and minutes to support the Engineering Director. Other ad hoc duties will be required as part of this role.


The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following
Preparation of Documentation
MS World
Microsoft Outlook
MS PowerPoint
Basic use of MS Excel including simple analysis of spreadsheets
Notes and other transcription
Personal Support
Diary management
Microsoft email Management
Organising Catering arrangements e.g. working lunches
Movement tracking of manager/direct reports
Handling Messages
Handling, prioritisation and filing of correspondence and mail
Document handling: filing, photocopying and faxing
Screening/Responding to emails on Managers behalf
Screening/Responding to Voicemail
Processing and collation of Expenses for managers and checking expenses submissions for direct reports
Making of travel arrangements, including the collection of documentation and money
Arranging Meetings
Arrangement of dates
Booking of venues
Issue of invitations, agendas and minutes
Relationship Management
Confidentiality / Handling sensitive information
Holiday / absence management
Action Tracking
Customer facing. Screening / Prioritising

The Individual
Candidates must have previous secretarial experience, gained at Director level, along with
excellent Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook skills, good Microsoft Excel & Project.
